Tom Daschle Has Withdrawn
Former Sen. Tom Daschle has asked President Obama to withdraw his nomination for Secretary of Health and Human Services, according to a written statement from the White House.
He felt that the scrutiny around him was distracting to the Obama plan and felt he could do nothing more than be a distraction.

I don”t understand how he could apply for this job knowing that his personal business would be scrutinized with a fine tooth comb? It makes like 0 sense to put himself out there like that.
Why doesn’t TD have to do jail time? The same thing happened to Wesley Snipes but he has to do jail time.
Totally agree. Why IS it that ‘we the people’ go to jail and the politicians get embarrassed and loose their political careers.
One never knows what the public will say. Guess its worth a chance to further their career, just in case John and Jane Q. Public might just see it as a common thing that happens to us all. BUT we the people are way too sick of watching politicians get away with everything that we as was said go to jail for. So screw them!
